Cefnogi gwaith caled seren polo dŵr

Sefydliad Addysgol John Vaughan

Dyfarnwyd £ 500 i berson ifanc sy’n chwarae polo dŵr ar lefel leol a chenedlaethol i Gymru i gefnogi ei ddatblygiad proffesiynol personol yn ei Hyfforddiant Academi Cymru.

“Mae angen ymrwymiad ac ymroddiad i chwarae polo dŵr ar y lefel hon. Rwy’n hyfforddi am 8 awr yr wythnos ar polo dŵr yn unig a 5 awr o hyfforddiant ffitrwydd yr wythnos yn ogystal â hynny. Rwyf hefyd yn frwd iawn dros rygbi ac yn dod o hyd i’r amser i hyfforddi gyda Quins Caerfyrdin. Rwyf hefyd yn mynychu Academi Polo Dŵr Cymru, sef un penwythnos llawn y mis yn Abertawe a Chaerdydd. Yn ogystal â hyn i gyd, rwy’n dal i fod yn gwbwl ymrwymedig i’m haddysg ac ar hyn o bryd rwy’n ennill graddau rhagorol, A* ac A.

Mae’r grant wedi fy helpu i wella fy sgiliau polo dŵr ac i chwarae ar lefel o dan 19 oe. Mae hefyd wedi fy nghefnogi i gymryd rhan yn nhîm Polo Dŵr Cymru ac wedi helpu i dalu am deithiau i Lerpwl ar gyfer Cystadleuaeth Genedlaethol y Grŵp Oedran ac i’r Weriniaeth Tsiec ar gyfer Pencampwriaeth Gwledydd Ewrop.

Rwyf wir wedi gwerthfawrogi’r grant ac mae wedi fy helpu i gael profiad er mwyn parhau i chwarae polo dŵr yn y dyfodol.
