We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Cheshire Community Foundation to support Assura PLC to deliver this £100,000 Assura Community Fund programme.

The programme will support a diverse range of health and wellbeing projects in Wales that are delivering activities and services within a 30 mile radius of an Assura healthcare building in Wales.

Programme activities must be targeted towards improving mental and emotional health and wellbeing, gaining support for life challenges and providing increased activities and opportunities to learn new skills, to enable improved self-confidence, self-esteem and a strong sense of belonging.

This may include (but are not limited to):

  • Community social prescribing activities
  • social action/volunteering
  • Befriending
  • Giving confidence to vulnerable people to re-join social activities

What grants are available?

Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 are available for projects delivered for up to one year commencing October 2022.

The programme is not seeking to prioritise funding of a small contribution towards large scale, high-value projects, where the Assura grant is a very small part.

Who can apply?

The programme is aimed at small to medium sized, locally based, not-for-profit UK organisations including –

  • registered charities,
  • constituted community groups
  • Social Enterprises
  • CICs.

Regional or National organisations are not eligible – the fund is seeking to support local charitable groups and organisations.

Applicants must complete an online application form by midnight on Sunday the 3rd of July which can be accessed via our website.

Please make sure you read the full criteria below before applying!

Please note:

  • Grants will not be awarded retrospectively i.e. for costs incurred before receipt of our grant offer letter, and the signed terms and conditions have been returned.
  • Grants are not available towards general fundraising or to support fundraising for other groups and charities.
  • Grants must be fully spent within one year of receipt of our offer letter.
