I joined Community Foundation Wales in March 2016. I have over 20 years of experience operating family businesses, working in the renewable energy sector and sustainable development field.
During the last 20 years I’ve been a keen supporter of the third sector with a particular emphasis on organisations operating in North Wales.
What I do
I am a trustee of the Community Foundation, living and working in North Wales. Together with the other board of Trustees I provide oversight and governance of the Community Foundation’s activities. My wife and I also have a fund managed by the Foundation and love to see the extraordinary difference that the funds and grants team at the Community Foundation make to individuals and communities within Wales.

Why I love Wales
I love the culture, the people, the landscape and the Welsh Rugby team. Wales has some of the best scenery of anywhere I have visited, the mountains and coast are wonderful places to explore. Riding a bike though north and mid Wales, in the autumn, with leaves showing their autumn colours is a truly uplifting experience.
Wales has an amazing depth and breadth of culture, from paintings of its wonderful landscape, to its Male Voice Choirs, literature and drama.
There is nothing quite like being in the Principality Stadium with the roof closed, Wales winning and the crowd being in full voice.
