Applications are ONLY open to groups. Applications for individuals will open in June 2024. This fund closes on 17th June 2024 at 12pm (midday).

 

 

The Education Fund for Denbigh and Surrounding Area supports the education of individuals and specific educational initiatives. The fund seeks applications from:

  • School/college based projects that support vocational training, health matters and healthy living
  • Education inclusion projects with support for individual students between the ages of 11 and 25 years in the form of bursaries, scholarships, travel assistance, culture, sport, prizes for attainment and educational materials/equipment (this list is not exhaustive)

Grants Available

  • Organisations can apply for grants up to £1,000 a year for up to three years.

Where there is an exceptional case for support (case to be made by the applicant), grants of up to £5,000 may be awarded.

Who can apply?

  • Charities, groups and organisations running projects and activities for the benefit of children and young people living in Denbigh and the Community Council areas of Nantglyn, Henllan, Bodfari, Aberwheeler, Llandyrnog, Llanrhaeadr yng Nghinmerch, Llanynys, Llanefydd and Llansannan which fall outside statutory provision. (E.g. after school clubs, breakfast clubs, gardening projects etc.).

How to apply?

Applicants must complete an online application form which can be accessed via our website.

Please note:

  • Grants will not be awarded retrospectively i.e. for costs incurred before receipt of our grant offer letter, and the signed terms and conditions have been returned.
  • Grants are not available to support fundraising for other groups and charities.
  • Grants must be fully spent within one year of receipt of our offer letter.
  • The application must show a clear need for financial support, financial hardship or additional support needs.
