New fund to support communities across Flintshire
Community Foundation Wales is partnering with Liverpool Bay CCS Limited and Cheshire Community Foundation, to launch a new fund that will invest in community projects across Flintshire and neighbouring communities in Cheshire.
The Liverpool Bay CCS Limited Community Benefit Fund will provide grants of up to £20,000 to charities, community groups and other not-for-profit organisations working to make a positive difference in their local area. The fund forms part of an initial four-year programme of investment designed to create lasting benefits for communities connected to the Liverpool Bay CCS Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Transportation and Storage (T&S) infrastructure.
Community Foundation Wales and Cheshire Community Foundation will distribute funding within their respective areas, ensuring local knowledge and community expertise help guide investment where it can make the greatest difference.
Funding will be available for projects that expand learning opportunities, improve and protect the natural environment, and celebrate the heritage, culture and identity of local communities.
This fund is an opportunity to invest in the ideas and commitment that already exist within Flintshire communities. By supporting organisations that understand their local areas best, the programme aims to help communities build on their strengths, respond to local challenges and create lasting benefits for future generations.
