Keeping our communications safe
Trust, transparency and safety are central to how we work with applicants, grantees, donors and partners. We know that working with a funder often involves sharing personal or organisational information, and we take the trust you place in us seriously.
We’re aware that some organisations across the charity and funding sector have recently experienced scam calls and emails from people pretending to be trusted organisations. While this isn’t unique to the third sector, we believe it’s important to be open about how we communicate with you.
When we contact you, it will always be for a clear and genuine reason – for example, in relation to an application, a grant you hold, or an enquiry you’ve already made. We will never contact you unexpectedly to ask for bank details, passwords or payments, and we will never ask for donations or fees over the phone.
If you ever receive a call, email or message claiming to be from us and you’re unsure, we encourage you to trust your instincts and contact us directly using the contact details on our website. We will always be happy to confirm whether a communication is genuinely from our team.
We review our approach to communications and data security regularly as part of our safeguarding responsibilities. This helps us maintain trusted relationships with everyone we work with and helps keep you and your data safe.
