Community Foundation Wales is guided by a Board of Trustees & Committee Members who bring a wide range of skills, experience and perspectives to our work. Together, they provide strategic leadership, ensure good governance and help us remain focused on turning philanthropy into impact for communities across Wales.

We regularly review the skills and experience represented across our Board and committees and, from time to time, recruit new trustees and co-opted committee members. Whether you have previous governance experience or are considering your first governance role, we welcome interest from people from all backgrounds.

As a trustee, you’ll play an important role in ensuring Community Foundation Wales remains well governed, financially sustainable and focused on achieving its charitable objectives. This is a voluntary, unpaid position, although reasonable expenses may be reimbursed in line with our policies. Deadline: Monday 28 September 2026.

The Audit, Finance and Compliance Committee helps ensure we remain financially sustainable, well managed and accountable. It oversees our finances, compliance and key organisational risks, helping us make informed decisions and maintain the highest standards of governance.

It provides strategic guidance on our communications, brand and public profile, helping us build understanding of our work and strengthen relationships across Wales.

The Forward Planning and Development Committee focuses on our future direction and growth. It helps identify opportunities to strengthen philanthropy across Wales, grow partnerships and develop new sources of funding, ensuring we can increase our support for communities now and in the years ahead.

The Governance Committee helps ensure we’re well governed and fit for the future. It oversees our governance framework, supports trustee recruitment and development, and helps us maintain high standards of accountability and decision-making.
