Annette Bryn Parri Fund
“Cerddor o’r galon” – A musician through and through

Annette Bryn Parri
Annette Bryn Parri was a renowned Welsh pianist whose life and music touched countless people.
Born in the close-knit, Welsh-speaking community of Deiniolen, Gwynedd, Annette’s musical journey began at the piano as a child and took her to the Royal Northern College of Music.
She became one of Wales’s most respected accompanists and musical directors, performing with some of the nation’s greatest voices, including Bryn Terfel and Rebecca Evans, and contributing to the work of the Welsh National Opera.
Annette was equally devoted to her community. She gave her time generously to choirs, charitable causes, and mentoring young musicians. Warm, humorous, and full of life, she believed in sharing music widely and making it accessible to all.
About the Fund
The Annette Bryn Parri Fund has been created by her family and is managed by Community Foundation Wales.
The fund celebrates Annette’s life and values by supporting aspiring young musicians across Wales, removing barriers for those who might otherwise miss out and encouraging the development of Welsh music and culture.
Grants from the fund will help with music lessons, instruments, and training opportunities, giving young musicians the chance to grow and thrive.
Annette believed deeply in the power of music to transform lives. This fund continues her work by empowering young people to pursue their talent and contribute to Wales’s rich musical heritage.
