Tregaron Family Centre is a welcoming, open access service dedicated to supporting families through training, support, and opportunities to build meaningful connections.

Thanks to support from Fund for Wales, Tregaron Family Centre successfully expanded to meet the growing demand for their services The funding helped to cover essential core costs, including the rental of a training room, a storage space, and a new, larger hall to accommodate the increasing number of visitors.

Karli, a spokesperson for the organisation, stated:

“We started in a smaller space but then we grew from 30 families on our books to having over 120. So we had to move. We have new families coming all the time. This hall we use now is a godsend.”

The centre offers a wide range of activities and services tailored to children, parents, grandparents, and the wider community. From practical training sessions to social events and support groups, Tregaron Family Centre continues to be a cornerstone for families seeking connection, support and empowerment.

“We open up for the whole community every week, just so people can get a hot meal, and a dessert, and some tea and coffee We run craft sessions. We’ve had someone do dance classes with the little ones. He brought instruments for them to enjoyWe have park play sessions. Walk and talk sessions. We do trips during the school holidays, so kids can be outdoors and learning new things We do well-being days as well. A woman comes to do art and craft with parents and grandparents. Children get involved if they want to. But those days are just as much about finding ways for parents to relax.
