The Randal Foundation supports 19 grassroots organisations across Wales

Nineteen grassroots organisations across Wales have received support through the Randal Foundation’s partnership with us, helping to strengthen communities and improve lives across the country.

The foundation has been able to expand its reach into Wales, supporting community groups whose work closely reflects its charitable priorities.

Dr Nik Kotecha OBE DL, Chairman of the Randal Foundation said: “We are proud to support Community Foundation Wales, whose deep local knowledge and commitment to communities closely align with the Randal Foundation’s mission of saving and improving lives. Through this partnership, we are supporting vital grassroots organisations across Wales that are making a meaningful difference to people’s lives, particularly in areas such as alleviating poverty, mental health and education for all. We are pleased to partner with Community Foundation Wales in enabling this important work and supporting stronger, more resilient communities.”

The Randal Foundation works to improve the lives of people across the UK and globally. By working with inspirational organisations, the foundation brings support and essential funding to create opportunity and foster hope for those facing the greatest challenges.

Across Wales, many communities continue to face significant challenges, with around 24% of people living in poverty and 31% of children growing up in poverty. The organisations supported through this programme are tackling these issues in practical and inspiring ways, helping people through financial hardship, supporting mental health and wellbeing, and creating opportunities that raise aspirations for the future.

In Cardiff, Tiger Bay Boxing Club empowers young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through structured sports sessions alongside mentoring, education support, and mental health guidance. Meanwhile, The Age & Dementia Café provides a welcoming space where people living with dementia and their carers can connect, access advice, and reduce isolation.

Elsewhere, The Woodland Hub in Llandrindod Wells is creating opportunities for families and young people to connect with nature through play, learning, and community activities. While NeuroBusiness CIC in South Wales supports neurodivergent people to explore employment, self-employment, and community participation.

Across Wales, these and the other funded projects are helping people build confidence, strengthen connections, and access vital support in their local areas.

We’re delighted to be working with the Randal Foundation and look forward to sharing more stories about the positive impact these organisations are making in communities across Wales.
