Neil Moss
Trustee

My background
I was born and raised in Cardiff, studied in Leicester and despite wanting to be an accountant found my way into financial services, where I have worked for over 40 years. I initially joined Legal & General which was a great place to start before joining a small financial services company where I was advising clients on investments and tax planning. This company was then bought by Principality Building Society, and I then became a director of the financial services company. I eventually established my own business in 1995 until this was sold in June 2024, remaining as a consultant until I retired in June 2025.
What I do
I became a trustee of Community Foundation Wales in March 2024 and sit on the Financial Risk and Investment subcommittee as well as the Forward Planning and Development subcommittee. I have also sat on the Grants panel which has made me very aware of the number of communities that need the help and this educated me in understanding the valuable and important role that Community Foundation Wales plays throughout Wales. I also still have an interest in a small business but enjoy the opportunity to giving back and volunteering where I can.
Ask me about…
How Community Foundation Wales can help and make a difference to communities and how individuals can support them and create a long-term legacy to help and support these communities.
Why I love Wales
Wales is and always has been my home. It has a real depth of history. There is always a warmth and friendliness about the Welsh people which makes you feel truly welcome, coupled with stunning coastlines and scenery. It is peaceful and small in the best possible way and for me, my roots and memories are in Wales…. Where else would you want to live. Plus, the crowd at the Principality Stadium, Wales playing in the six nations, there is no better atmosphere.
