Helpu ffoaduriaid a cheiswyr lloches i deimlo’n gartrefol

“Pe na byddai Space4U wedi gallu talu am gost y bws i mi allu mynd i Lerpwl am gyfweliad gyda’r Swyddfa Gartref, mi fyddai wedi cymryd misoedd i mi gasglu’r arian fy hunan ac efallai na fyddwn wedi gallu mynd yno o gwbl.”

Mae gan Space4U, elusen fechan yn cael ei rhedeg gan wirfoddolwyr, ganolfan galw heibio ar gyfer ffoaduriaid a cheiswyr lloches yng Nghaerdydd.

Maen nhw wedi cael £1,500 gan y Sefydliad Wesleaidd at eu Prosiect Lliniaru Diymgeledd; prosiect sy’n helpu ffoaduriaid a cheiswyr lloches i fynd i apwyntiadau cyfreithiol a meddygol hanfodol trwy ddarparu cymorth gyda chludiant a chostau byw pwysig eraill.

Roedd yr arian gan y Sefydliad Wesleaidd yn galluogi Space4U i helpu defnyddwyr gwasanaeth gyda phethau megis rhoi arian mewn ffôn symudol, prynu dillad gwely a lluniaeth ar deithiau hir. Mae hefyd wedi’u helpu i brynu, trwy Hyfforddiant Beicio Cymru, saith beic wedi’u hadnewyddu sy’n barod i fynd ar y ffordd. Mae sicrhau fod beiciau ar gael wedi helpu’r ffoaduriaid a’r ceiswyr lloches ddod i adnabod y ddinas ac hefyd wedi’u helpu i deimlo’n rhan o’u cymuned leol.

Meddai un defnyddiwr:

“Oherwydd fy mod i’n gallu defnyddio beic, rwy’n gallu mynd i wahanol leoedd yng Nghaerdydd yn rhwydd, helpu ffrindiau a chadw’n iach yn yr awyr agored.”

When people think about philanthropy, it’s often the large-scale donations and major fundraising campaigns that come to mind. But relatively small amounts of funding can also have a transformative impact on someone’s future.
