Become a trustee

Community Foundation Wales inspires people to give, helps Welsh communities to thrive and changes lives together.

We are looking for trustees who are passionate about supporting grassroots charities and community groups with funding to strengthen communities across Wales. Applicants should be motivated to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to growing the Foundation’s impact and profile.

It is important that our Board reflects the communities we work with, and we know that increasing our diversity will help us to reach and support more people. We believe that building a team of people with various lived experiences will bring diverse perspectives and new skills that can help us to better support Welsh communities.

We actively encourage applications from anyone who wants to help support Welsh communities, including people from all ages, ethnic backgrounds and people with disabilities, in order to maintain the diversity on the Board.

We are also interested in receiving applications from people who have experience of the third sector in Wales, philanthropy and grant-making.

Previous Board experience is not essential as there will be a full induction process and further training and support.

Our trustees play a vital role in supporting the work of Community Foundation Wales by overseeing the overall management and administration of the charity. They also ensure that Community Foundation Wales has a clear strategy and that our work and goals are in line with our vision. Just as importantly, they support and challenge the senior management team to enable Community Foundation Wales to grow and thrive.

If you think you might be interested and would like to know more, please contact us by emailing your CV and a short statement to info@communityfoundationwales.org.uk setting out what you can bring to Community Foundation Wales.
