Kira Meehan

I’ve just recently finished up studying Media and Communications at Cardiff University and after falling in love with this city and the field of marketing, I’ve found myself at Community Foundation Wales! Previously I have worked for Cardiff Students’ Union and In It Together Festival, creating social media content across a range of platforms, primarily focusing on video. Video editing and creation has been a passion throughout my life thus far and my goal is to always make people feel something with my content, whether that be happiness, nostalgia or inspiration.

Since starting in August 2025, I’ve been taking a lead on creating a lot of the content you see on the social media platforms. My goal is to increase our output and storytelling, driving engagement, thereby letting more people know about the amazing work that goes on at the foundation. I’m hoping to work closely with many of the communities we support and create content from it that inspires people to donate, so that we can keep doing the vital work we do.

After studying here, I’ve come to appreciate Wales as an incredible nation that is rightfully so proud of all that it has accomplished! I love all things Welsh including homemade Welsh Cakes from the market here in Cardiff and the accent which has come to remind me of my home away from home. Most of all I love the sense of community and comradery which is felt everywhere you go.
