My background
I am a chartered accountant. I was a lead member of the senior management team and board director at Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK for 12 years. I was responsible for a broad range of the business units including HR and payroll, workforce planning and training.
A large part of my role was to identify the requirements and deliver sustainable, useable improvements to the tools underpinning the project delivery teams’ activities.
What I do
I am a trustee of Community Foundation Wales and a member of the finance and grants committee.
I am a non executive director of a housing association based in North Wales.
I volunteer for some local community run clubs and groups and I am a school governor.
Ask me about…
Running a business in Wales.
Volunteering and assisting with local sports and community groups.
Why I love Wales
Wales is my home and I returned to live in my home county of Denbighshire in 2014 as it’s a wonderful place to bring up my family.
The variety of opportunity Wales can offer in terms of culture, landscape and sport.
The Eisteddfods, Royal Welsh Show, stadiums, theatres, hills, mountains, lakes, national parks, and the strong sense of pride in being Welsh.
