Give DIFFerently contactless point launched by Sam Warburton

We are proud to be a partner of the Give DIFFerently campaign which rugby star Sam Warburton launched today. A contactless payment point has been installed at The Hayes, in Cardiff City Centre, giving the people of Cardiff an alternative way of giving money to help tackle homelessness.

Donating couldn’t be easier – by tapping a payment card against the interactive screen a donation of £2 is automatically made. This is the first time a contactless donation point has been used to accept donations in Wales and for the next 2 weeks each donation will be doubled thanks to the Four Acre Trust.

Donations will be collated by the Community Foundation in Wales and distributed to the homeless, or those at risk of becoming homeless, via organisation and charities dealing with these individuals through small grants of up to £750.

These grants can be spent on essentials that will aid a person’s personal development plan – the aim is to provide individual solutions to individual issues.

Have you been to see the Give DIFFerently contactless donation point yet? Please share a picture with us on Facebook and Twitter when you do. Help us make a difference in Cardiff!
