My background

Originally from Abergele in north Wales, I studied at the University of Oxford, earning undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in History at Jesus College and Corpus Christi College. After graduating in 2021, I returned to north Wales to join a local government graduate scheme with Cyngor Gwynedd, during which I completed a part-time Master of Public Administration (MPA) with Distinction at the University of York, as well as the Wales Future Generations Leadership Academy.

Having previously worked at Cyngor Gwynedd, where I supported senior executive governance and led on economic development programmes and strategy, I now serve as Lead for Regional Policy and Impact at the Cardiff Capital Region, focusing on productivity and economic inclusivity. I am passionate about expanding access to opportunity in Wales and tackling interregional inequality.

What I do

As a Trustee of Community Foundation Wales, I’m excited to support the Foundation’s great work across Wales with my fellow Board members and the fantastic officers of the charity.

Why I love Wales

I returned to live and work in Wales after graduating precisely because of my love for Wales – its people and communities, its breathtaking natural environment, and its rich history and culture. And as a Welsh speaker, it really is special to live in a bilingual country where I can enjoy the rich culture of our two languages.
