Steve Morgan

My family originates from Scotland and my family came to North Wales with my father starting a small Timber manufacturing company in 1985. The business, P&A Group, has grown to become a well-known local company trading nationally. As Managing Director, I led it for 25 years until recently when I became the Chairman. Our employees have been very successful over the years in raising funds for our annual chosen charities. Fund raising, supporting the community and local schools underpins my values and I am proud to have won a Business in the Community award in 2015 for responsible business.

Being committed to promoting fitness, health and wellbeing, I have completed 6 Iron Man challenges and supported Rhyl Learning Community Triathlon for Schools challenge, raising money for local charities and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.

I am a new Trustee so am looking forward to supporting Community Foundation Wales in achieving its aims and making a difference in our communities.

I feel privileged to live and work in Wales with its wonderful communities, splendid countryside, our unique culture and fascinating history. I’m passionate about rugby, along with many of my friends and colleagues. Wales is a caring place with so many people committed to helping others – there is nowhere better!
